Safe Mode is a great way to fix your PC when it gets a little laggy or refuses to boot properly. But how to enter safe mode?
We will show the three most common ways to enter into Safe Mode on Windows to start troubleshooting.
Hard reset
This is a simple way to enter safe mode when your Windows does not even want to boot normally and is stuck at the loading wheel.
You will need to turn off your machine three times by pressing the Power button when the Windows loading wheel shows up and hold it until the system shuts down.
After the third time leave the system to boot normally, it will load automatic repair and diagnose your system.
After that, it will prompt you to a Troubleshooting page with additional options to fix your PC.
Select Advanced options->Troubleshoot->Advanced options.
From there you will be displayed this panel, you can try to fix your system boot failure by selecting Startup Repair or to chose Safe Mode boot, we will go with second, so click on Startup settings, and then click Restart.
It will boot to display where options will be listed under the number list, you will press FN+F4 as the Safe Mode option is under number 4.
Now it will boot the system in Safe Mode, where you will log in to your system with your credentials.
Voila! You are now in Safe Mode.
From Login Screen
If you can get to the login screen of your operating system, click on Power->Reset while holding the SHIFT key, and it should boot in Safe Mode after the restart.
From Settings
When for some reason you want to boot into Safe Mode from the working system you can go to Settings->Windows Update->Advanced options->Recovery and then click on Advanced Startup Reset now button, and confirm the reset.
On the next boot just follow the steps from the Hard reset section.
Now you know how to enter Safe Mode and you can troubleshoot your system easily.
